  • Category 2 (25 to 100 employees) – All-Rite Spring Company, Spring Grove, IL
  • Category 3 (over 100 employees) – Chroma Corporation, McHenry, IL

Impact Plastics, Huntley was selected in Category 1 (less than 25 employees).  Faced with challenges of raw material price increases, they found a way to use recycled plastics in their manufacturing process.

In the mid-size company category of 25 to 100 employees, All-Rite Spring Company, Spring Grove is the 2012 Business Champion.  This company is in the process of expanding their facilities and during their recent groundbreaking every single employee was engaged in the important ground breaking ceremony and with their own ‘shovels in the ground’.  This single act of inclusion reinforced the company’s corporate belief that their by having employees as true part of the team,  they become engaged and an integral part of the company’s success.

Chroma Corporation, McHenry is the winner in the large category (over 100 employees).  This company has been doing business in McHenry County for over 40 years and has been growing at twice the rate of other companies within their industry.  During the last two years, they invested in thirteen new pieces of equipment. They also believe in helping to educate the future workforce and have sponsored a grant for a student at McHenry County College.
