New Resume McHenry County Website Provides One-Stop-Shop for COVID-19 Resources
WOODSTOCK, Ill. – McHenry County and the McHenry County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC) have launched a new Resume McHenry County website at www.ResumeMcHenryCounty.com with information and resources for the public, employers and employees to assist on the road to recovery from COVID-19. Resume McHenry County is a collaborative initiative being implemented by McHenry County and the MCEDC in partnership with the McHenry County community, including cities and villages, businesses and residents to help ensure a successful reopening of the county’s economy. McHenry County Board Chairman Jack Franks said, “We’re thrilled to welcome back our workers, shoppers and diners and want to make sure that we do everything we can to keep everyone safe and healthy. By providing information and resources in a one-stop-shop and by continuing to work together, we can restore our economy and return to our lifestyles safely and responsibly.”
The Resume McHenry County website includes a Reopening Guide illustrating what remains closed, what business have limited openings and what is open with safety restrictions for each of the five phases of the Governor’s Restore Illinois Plan. It also includes a comprehensive list of local, state and federal resources for employers and employees. New information will be added as it becomes available.
McHenry County EDC President Jim McConoughey said, “As we enter the third weekend of businesses and restaurants being open (for outdoor dining) under Phase 3 of the Restore Illinois plan, we must all do our part to stay informed and follow the necessary health safety precautions. Taking these steps will not only help save lives, but also inspire confidence and optimism for both our businesses and our residents. We truly are in this together and we’re here to support our businesses so that they can survive and thrive through this recovery period.”
We all need to work together and do our part to maintain our health and safety and help our county and region move into the next phase of reopening and prevent the spread of COVID-19. Please remember to practice these critical safety measures:
• Wear a face covering in public when social/physical distancing can’t be maintained.
• Limit group gatherings to 10 or fewer individuals and maintain physical distance of at least six feet between non-household individuals unless participating in activities permitted under Phase 3 guidelines (e.g. haircuts).
• Continue to maintain good hygiene: Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
